About WWE

WWE is the largest professional wrestling promotion in the world. It runs a full schedule with no off-season, featuring weekly shows like Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT. The biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 42, takes place April 18-19 in Las Vegas. The Royal Rumble kicked off the year on January 31 in Saudi Arabia.

Top stars

Roman Reigns is the face of WWE. The Tribal Chief has held the top title for years. Cody Rhodes finished his story at WrestleMania 39 and has been a top star ever since. On the women's side, Rhea Ripley is the dominant champion. Other top names include Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Gunther. The roster is the deepest it's been in years.

Major events

WrestleMania 42 is the biggest show of the year, taking place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Royal Rumble was on January 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Elimination Chamber is scheduled for February 28 in Chicago. Backlash is on May 9 in Turkey. Clash in Italy is May 31 in Turin. SummerSlam is August 1-2 in Minneapolis. Viewership

WWE is broadcast in over 180 countries and claims over 1 billion fans globally. WrestleMania weekend draws over 150,000 fans to the host city. Streaming options in the US

In the US, streaming rights are split across multiple platforms. Netflix is the exclusive home for Monday Night Raw starting in 2026. USA Network airs Friday Night SmackDown on cable. The CW broadcasts NXT on Tuesday nights. ESPN (via their new direct-to-consumer app) is the exclusive home for all major Premium Live Events, including Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. Peacock and NBC air special events like Saturday Night's Main Event. Peacock also holds rights to NXT Premium Live Events through March 15, 2026. Netflix also carries WWE's library content.

International streaming options

For international fans, Netflix is the exclusive home for all WWE content — including Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Premium Live Events — in most markets. The standalone WWE Network ceased operations in the last remaining countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy) on April 1, 2026, with all content moving to Netflix. In Sub-Saharan Africa, SuperSport holds the rights. In Japan, Abema is the broadcaster.
