About Rizin FF

RIZIN Fighting Federation is the premier MMA promotion in Japan. Founded in 2015 by former Pride FC president Nobuyuki Sakakibara, RIZIN carries the spirit of Pride with a mix of world-class talent, spectacle, and Japanese tradition. The promotion runs events year-round, including numbered events and LANDMARK shows. The 2026 season is in full swing, with RIZIN.53 scheduled for May 10 in Kobe and RIZIN LANDMARK 13 in Fukuoka on April 12.

Top fighters

RIZIN has a deep roster of Japanese stars and international talent. Kyoji Horiguchi, the former UFC title challenger, is one of the biggest names. Mikuru Asakura is a massive draw in Japan. Kleber Koike, Hiromasa Ougikubo, and Tenshin Nasukawa are also top stars. Newcomers like Kyoma Akimoto, an undefeated Japanese standout, and Patchy Mix are making waves. The promotion also features veterans like Hideo Tokoro and rising prospects like Taisei Sakuraba, the son of MMA legend Kazushi Sakuraba.

Format

RIZIN runs two main types of events. Numbered events (RIZIN.52, RIZIN.53) feature title fights and major matchups. LANDMARK events are smaller shows that showcase rising talent and regional cards. The promotion also holds the annual New Year's Eve show, which is the biggest event of the year. RIZIN uses a unique ring instead of a cage, following the Pride FC tradition. The rules allow soccer kicks and grounded knees, which are banned in the UFC.

Viewership

RIZIN events are broadcast in Japan on Sky PerfecTV! and Fuji Television. The promotion has a dedicated following in Japan and among international MMA fans. The New Year's Eve shows draw the biggest audiences, often selling out large venues like the Saitama Super Arena.

Global streaming with RIZIN.tv

RIZIN.tv is the official streaming platform for RIZIN Fighting Federation. It offers live Pay-Per-View events and on-demand replays of every bout in HD. The platform is available worldwide. Fans can buy individual events or subscribe to the service. The price for a standard PPV event is around 5,500 yen (approximately $35-40 USD) for general admission, with a discounted rate of 4,700 yen for RIZIN 100 Club members.

RIZIN 100 Club subscription service

RIZIN 100 Club is the official subscription video streaming service for RIZIN. Members get unlimited access to past RIZIN fight footage and member-exclusive content. The service is available in Japan and internationally. Club members also receive discounted PPV pricing for live events, with savings of 800 yen per event compared to general admission.

TV options in Japan

In Japan, RIZIN events are broadcast on Sky PerfecTV! and Fuji Television. Select events also air on other Japanese networks. A cable or satellite subscription is required for TV viewing.

International TV and streaming options

In North America, RIZIN events are broadcast on Fight Network in Canada and previously on Spike TV in the US. The promotion has partnerships with broadcasters in Brazil, including Fox Sports Brazil, and Russia, including Match TV. For most international fans, RIZIN.tv is the most reliable option to watch live events.

RIZIN YouTube channel

The official RIZIN YouTube channel streams press conferences, fighter interviews, and other content for free. The channel also streams contract signing events and open workouts. It's a great resource for keeping up with the promotion between events.

Upcoming events in 2026

RIZIN has a packed schedule for the first half of 2026. RIZIN LANDMARK 13 takes place on April 12 at Marine Messe Fukuoka. RIZIN.53 is scheduled for May 10 at GLION ARENA Kobe.
