About Professional Fighters League

The Professional Fighters League is the only MMA organization with a seasonal format. Fighters compete in a regular season, playoffs, and championship finals. The winner of each weight class takes home $1 million. The PFL has expanded rapidly in recent years, adding regional leagues in Africa and the Middle East, and signing top talent from around the world. The 2026 calendar is packed with 24 total events: 16 global events across the US, Europe, and the Middle East, plus 8 regional events split evenly between PFL Africa and PFL MENA.

The PFL format

The PFL season format is simple. Fighters compete in multiple regular season bouts. Points are awarded for wins and finishes. The top four fighters in each weight class advance to the playoffs. Single-elimination semifinals and finals determine the champion. The winner takes home $1 million. No other MMA promotion has this structure. It rewards consistency and finishes.

Top fighters in 2026

The PFL roster is stacked with talent. Usman Nurmagomedov is one of the best lightweights in the world. He's undefeated and has looked dominant. Dakota Ditcheva is the fastest-rising star on the roster. The British flyweight is undefeated and finishes almost everyone she fights. Costello van Steenis is the middleweight champion. He defends his title against Fabian Edwards in Madrid on March 20. Johnny Eblen is another top middleweight. He fights Bryan Battle in Pittsburgh on March 28. Other names include Paul Hughes, Sergio Pettis, Logan Storley, and Benson Henderson, who is still competing at a high level.
